Sunday, 19 October 2014 03:11 PM EDT

Test results show that a Spanish nurse, who was the first person to have contracted Ebola outside Africa, has beaten the deadly disease, a hospital source told AFP on Sunday.

"Three tests carried out today, including that on (the nurse), are negative," said the source at a Madrid hospital where the health worker Teresa Romero, 44, was being treated.
