A vendor selling yarmulkes outside the American Israel Public Affairs Committee meeting in Washington, D.C., on Monday reported Donald Trump was by far the biggest seller.
"I totally underestimated the degree of support that Jewish people who are attending this event have for Trump," Marc Daniels told
The Washington Free Beacon. "I probably had about 50 inquiries for Trump yarmulkes that I could not fulfill."
Daniels printed the traditional skullcaps worn by Jewish men with the names of all the remaining presidential candidates of both major parties, but ran out of "Donald Trump 2016" yarmulkes early.
Later in the evening he also had sold out of Ted Cruz and John Kasich kippot, but still had Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders versions left over. All five remaining candidates — except Sanders — addressed AIPAC on Monday.
