GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump said Monday he agrees to the "Penny Plan" for across-the-board spending cuts except for the military.
"I like the concept of the Penny Plan," Trump said on Fox News Channel's
"Hannity." "Not for the military, because the military we have to build up."
The "Penny Plan," often touted by host Sean Hannity, would cut one penny from every dollar of government spending for five years, including the military, to eliminate the federal spending deficit.
Trump said more than a penny can like be saved in many areas, but admitted, "It's a pretty good plan. And it's a pretty simple plan."
