Maria Conchita Alonso says Americans should think twice about visiting Cuba, knowing the Castro regime brutally stomps on the human rights of its citizens.
"I really don't understand how people can go to Cuba on vacation when the people of Cuba are starving, tortured, put in jail and hit on the streets," the stunning Hollywood actress said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"And that's for doing what should be respected all over the world — which is to speak [about] what you're against. That's a right."
The outspoken Cuban-born, Venezuelan-raised star — who starred with the late Robin Williams in the romance movie "Moscow on the Hudson" — said she opposed President Barack Obama's announcement that the U.S. will normalize relations with Cuba, which will allow for tourism.
"It's so sad [for tourists] going to Cuba and seeing how the people live there while they're having a great time swimming in the beautiful beaches and eating whatever they want," she said.
"I would tell Americans not to go until a change is brought, until the Cuban people are free again, live under democracy, have the right to speak up and have the right to live the way we all lived in this country and in other countries.
"Cuba does a lot of business with a lot of countries, even with Israel, Italy and Canada. They have so much money, but still the people are not being respected. They're still hungry, they're not free."
