NY Daily News: God Is Not Enough, GOP Must Act on Guns

The giant headline "GOD ISN'T FIXING THIS" is surrounded by tweets from GOP Sens. Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Lindsey Graham and House Speaker Paul Ryan.

The subhead calls Republicans "cowards" who could enact tougher gun laws rather than relying on "meaningless platitudes."

Contecticut Sen. Chris Murphy tweeted similar sentiments on Wednesday:

Your "thoughts" should be about steps to take to stop this carnage. Your "prayers" should be for forgiveness if you do nothing - again.

Most Republican presidential candidates offered prayers via Twitter, while Democrats called for more gun control.
