Texas Sen. Ted Cruz ripped the mainstream media during his election night speech on Tuesday, saying they are giving Donald Trump free airtime in hopes he will be the GOP nominee.
"The mainstream media, the network suits who make the decisions want Donald Trump as the Republican nominee," Cruz told supporters in Houston, Texas. "That's why they've given him hundreds of millions in free advertising, because they're partisan Democrats ready for Hillary."
Trump, he said, is the one person who the expected Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton can beat in the general election.
"But the media aren't going to decide this election," he said, "the voters will."

The Huffington Post reported Tuesday that Trump has received almost $2 billion in free media during the campaign, far more than any other candidate in either party.
