Katie Couric to Leave ‘CBS Evening News’

Katie Couric will leave her post as anchor of “CBS Evening News,” her spokesman said.

Couric’s comments to People magazine, which reported her departure earlier, are accurate, spokesman Matthew Hiltzik said today by telephone.
