The murder threat is off. While news junkies may have been agog over reports that Vice President Biden threatened to strangle Republicans, he also said he didn’t mean that literally,
Politico reports.
In remarks Tuesday at a fund raiser for Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Mark Dayton, Biden said:
“We know how to create jobs, and we know how to balance the budget. If I hear one more Republican tell me about balancing the budget, I am going to strangle them."
It’s understandable how that would get some people upset. But Biden added, “To the press, that’s a figure of speech.”
