Democrats may be upset with all the questions about President Barack Obama’s birthplace, but some are starting to use the issue to their advantage.
The Democratic Governors Association has sent a fundraising letter

asking donors to give money to help stop bills requiring birth certificates for presidential candidates being considered in various red states,
Slate.com reports.
Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer recently vetoed a bill that would require presidential candidates to prove their U.S. citizenship in order to get on the ballot in the state. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal indicated he would sign such a bill if it reaches his desk.
“Our country faces serious challenges, and we need governors focused on putting people back to work and protecting the middle class. Yet we still have radical right-wing figures like Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh pushing these baseless accusations,” the DGA letter says.
“You and I know that birtherism is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the extreme, hard-right agenda supported by Republican governors across the country,” the letter says.
