Rep.
Ron Paul won the Republican presidential straw poll at the Family Research Council's Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C.

The Texas congressman led the pack with 37 percent, trailed by Herman Cain at 23 percent, and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum at 16 percent. Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann tied at 8 percent each. Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney followed with 4, and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich scored 3 percent. Former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman scored zero.
The straw poll also asked particpants to rate the top four GOP vice-presidential running mates, with Bachmann finishing first, followed by Cain, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, and Santorum.
The straw poll was part of the council's three-day event focusing on faith and family values. The summit wraps up on Sunday.
