The Occupy Wall Street movement does not represent unemployed America and instead comprises nonsensical protesters who make up a small minority of the population, Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show today.
“They’re not marching for jobs,” Limbaugh said. “They’re protesting because they have to work. They’re protesting because they don’t want to work.”
Limbaugh quoted an editorial in The Wall Street Journal that opined the protesters are “an unrepresentative segment of the electorate that believes in radical redistribution of wealth, civil disobedience, and, in some instances, violence.”
“My dogs make more sense than these people do,” he said.
President Barack Obama’s administration and the media are manipulating Occupy Wall Street so as to make the movement appear bigger than it is, Limbaugh said.
“The regime and the media have a vested interest in this group,” he said.
Conservatives — not marching liberals — make up the majority of Americans, he said.
“We are not the minority, in either numbers or thinking, in this country,” he said. “The left is. But the assault on us and what we believe and what we think is everywhere, and the amount of negativity that is out there, if you don’t know how to avoid it, it can really affect you.”
