If you ask talk show host Rush Limbaugh what he thanks God for every day, he would express his thankfulness with President Barack Obama’s inability to move the bulk of his legislative agenda forward.
He made remarks to that effect Wednesday morning during an interview featured on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends” when he told Gretchen Carlson the nation has benefitted from the president’s failures.
“The fact that his agenda has totally failed this year is the best thing that could have happened to this country,” Limbaugh told Carlson. “I thank God every day that this is going down the tubes.”
The talk show host said Republican Scott Brown’s election to Ted Kennedy’s former Senate seat in Massachusetts sends a strong message for Democrats going into November.
When it came to Obama’s State of the Union, Limbaugh said he gave up on it after 50 minutes because he didn’t hear anything new.
“I heard it all before. There was nothing new in it. The only difference was the tone,” Limbaugh said, calling the president “a young, inexperienced guy who is just mad.”
Limbaugh told Carlson Obama has found himself in over his head and doesn’t know what to do.
“This is the first time in his life there is not a professor who can turn his C into an A, or to write the law review article for him he can’t write. He is totally exposed. There is nobody to make it better,” Limbaugh said.
