Enterprising students at Columbia University seeking extra credit should take inspiration from “The Godfather” and blow the brains out of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, comedian Dennis Miller told Fox News host Bill O’Reilly Wednesday night.
Miller also had plenty of ripe words for The New York Times, columnist Paul Krugman and Barack Obama during his segment on O’Reilly’s popular show.
But it was the president of Iran that got the full treatment from the former “Saturday Night Live” comedian.Ahmadinejad is scheduled to have lunch with a group of students at Columbia University during his upcoming visit to the United Nations next week. O’Reilly raised the question of whether students should actually sit down with a committed anti-Semite and leader of one of the most repressive regimes on earth.
“Forget giving him a hard time,” Miller advised. “Have Clemenza put a dusted off gun in the water closet, do a Michael Corleone going into the whiz at the student union and come out and blow his head off.”
The riff was referencing the scene in “The Godfather” where young Michael Corleone, played by Al Pacino, assassinates a mobster and corrupt police officer to end the death threats on his ailing father. He does it with a gun that’s hidden behind a toilet in the bathroom of a restaurant.
Miller also advised students who may have been recently married under New York’s gay marriage law not to bring it up with Ahmadinejad, whose Iran is brutally repressive on gay men and women.
“Don’t bring it up at lunch,” Miller riffed. “I know he’s a world leader and this is going to be impressive and he’s going to touch base with another guy. Do not tell him that you and Jimmy are married because he’s not going to dig that. You’re going to find your way on the business end of the scimitar.”
