Former congressman Anthony Weiner, the husband of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton's closest aide Huma Abedin, has been once again sending underwear-clad photographs of himself to another woman, including one selfie purportedly showing himself in his underwear as his son slept beside him.

The New York Post, which published the photograph of Weiner in a pair of white boxer briefs, included several screenshots of the pair's exchanges, beginning in January 2015 after Weiner sent her a direct message on Twitter.

The photo shown in the Post was much like another one that circulated in 2011 of Weiner in his boxer briefs, and was taken as Abedin travels the country campaigning with Clinton.

According to the Post, Weiner sent the selfie shown with the story after telling the woman, described as a "40-something divorcee" that "someone just climbed into my bed."

He then sent the revealing picture, showing himself in his underwear and his son snuggled up in a green blanket on his left, causing the woman to ask him if he realized the photo was revealing.

Moments after he sent the photo, the Post reports that "Weiner freaked out over the possibility he had accidentally posted it publicly" like he did in 2011's photos, which forced him to resign his congressional seat.

Weiner in the past has denied sexting scandals before he admitted finally sending photos of himself to several women. In this case, he did not deny he knew the woman in question and they had been friends "for some time."

"She has asked me not to comment except to say that our conversations were private, often included pictures of her nieces and nephews and my son and were always appropriate, he told the Post.

The Post reports the photo it posted was sent shortly after 3 a.m. on July 31, 2015, while the pair were chatting about massage parlors "near my old apartment."

The woman, speaking to the Post on condition of anonymity, said Weiner invited her repeatedly to visit him in New York City, but they have never met in person. The tabloid also reported the woman as a "self-avowed supporter of Donald Trump and the National Rifle Association" who has used Twitter while bashing both President Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

The Post also showed several other photos Weiner and the woman sent each other.

Weiner apparently deleted his Twitter account after the Post report surfaced, The Hill reported Monday.

Meanwhile, the Post earlier this month reported Weiner being caught sexting with a person he thought was a young female college student, but instead, in that case, he was sending texts with a young male Republican college student who had used a female friend's Twitter account to bait Weiner into chatting with him.

In that exchange, Weiner described himself as being "deceptively strong like a mongoose," and told the Post that his exchanges with that person were a "playful joust with an obvious catfish," a slang term for a person who poses as another person online to bait a target.

The student, who is the head of a Republican club at his New York college, told the Post Weiner was an easy target, as Weiner responded just 20 minutes after he retweeted one of the former congressman's posts and added a comment.

Weiner told the Fernand Amandi radio show that in this case, he is a "target of a local newspaper here in New York," the Post reported.

"They got someone to get into a conversation with me online," said Weiner. "I caught them at it, but they still had enough things to make a story out of it."
