Fox News stars Megyn Kelly and Sean Hannity traded barbs on television and Twitter Wednesday in a testy feud triggered by Kelly's diss of softball interview questions asked of both GOP nominee Donald Trump and his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton.
The "The Kelly File" host complained about Clinton's pre-arranged questions from interviewer Steve Harvey, then declared:
"Donald Trump, with all due respect to my friend at 10:00, will go on Hannity – and pretty much only Hannity – and will not venture out to the unsafe spaces these days, which doesn't exactly expand the tent."
The remark was posted by Mediaite. Hannity shot back on Twitter, accusing Kelly of being in the tank for Clinton.
It is not the first in-house fight at Fox involving Kelly.
Last April, Kelly said she wished fellow anchor Bill O'Reilly had defended her against attack by Trump after the first GOP primary debate.
O'Reilly countered he did not want to step in the way of the "Fox News Channel hierarchy" by saying something public to Trump, with whom he is close.
