A mostly-female crowd in Germany booed Ivanka Trump on Tuesday when she said she was "very proud of my father's advocacy."
The razzing erupted as the 35-year-old daughter of President Donald Trump appeared on a panel at the Women's 20 Summit in Berlin.
The blonde-haired mother of three sat alongside German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Chrystia Freeland and IMF chief Christine Lagarde.
The Daily Mail reports the catcalls erupted after Ivanka told the forum, "'I'm very proud of my father's advocacy … he's a tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive."
That's when the audience, a majority of women, erupted into a cacophony of boos and hisses, according to the newspaper.
Moderator Miriam Meckel, editor-in-chief of the German business magazine WirtschaftsWoche, acknowledged the audience anger.
Meckel then asked, "Some attitudes towards women, your father has publicly displayed in former times might leave one questioning whether he's such an empower-er for women. How do you relate to that or are things changing?"
"I've certainly heard the criticism from the media and that's been perpetuated," Ivanka replied.
