Veteran political consultant Dick Morris says in the event of a three-way Democratic presidential primary, Hillary Clinton will finish last, easily bested by both by Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders.
And if the vice president does decide to throw his hat in the ring, he'll win the nomination whether or not he picks Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren as his running mate as has been rumored, Morris adds.
"Whether Warren or not, if Biden gets in he's going to be the Democratic candidate," Morris, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton, said Friday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on

He believes there is little or no doubt Biden will announce his candidacy shortly, if only because of extreme pressure from Democrats who believe Clinton is fading and Sanders, a Vermont independent, is unelectable.
"Sanders is scaring the hell out of the Democrats and they're going to force Biden to run because they don't want to have Sanders," Morris said.
"And if there's a three-way primary, Biden will finish first, Sanders will finish second, and Hillary will finish third."
Morris — a Newsmax contributor and author of
"Power Grab: Obama's Dangerous Plan for a One Party Nation," written with Eileen McGann and published by Humanix — believes GOP frontrunner Donald Trump's seemingly unstoppable campaign remains solid.
"The only one who really can stop Trump is Trump and one possibility is that he steps on a landmine, but I think he's too smart for that," Morris said.
"When Trump uses that wonderfully acerbic tone of his, to criticize illegal immigration and overspending by the government and opposition to the Keystone [pipeline] and all of those very good causes, then he's terrific.
"But he has to rein it back when it comes to criticizing other people because then you just come across as sort of nasty and there's that balancing thing with Trump. But he'll get it right, he's pretty smart, and he's got a heck of a shot for winning the nomination."
