President Donald Trump and Jeff Sessions were at the same place at the same time for the first time since the president's misgivings about the attorney general went public.
The occasion — Trump's Cabinet meeting.
Sessions was seated nearly directly across from Trump, but the two did not speak while the media were present, according to the White House pool report.
Trump started in on Sessions two weeks ago in an interview with The New York Times, criticizing the attorney general initially for recusing himself from all things Russia.
Since then, Trump has hit Sessions for sundry items since then, including not investigating Hillary Clinton.
Sessions has on a few occasions said he plans to stay on as head of the Justice Department, enjoying near unanimous support from outspoken Republican lawmakers and onlookers and conservative media.
