Witnessing President Barack Obama's two terms in office has made conservative commentator Glenn Beck "a better man," he said in a recent interview.

"I did a lot of freaking out about Barack Obama," Beck told The New Yorker.  "Obama made me a better man."

Beck once accused Obama of being racist toward whites and said the nation's 44th president had ties to radicals, The New Yorker writes.

"There are things unique to the African-American experience that I cannot relate to," said Beck, who supports the Black Lives Matter movement. "I had to listen to them."

Beck backed Sen. Ted Cruz for president but withdrew his support after the Texas Republican endorsed Donald Trump, the party's nominee. Beck didn't hold back in talking about Trump.

"This guy is dangerously unhinged," Beck said. "And, for all the things people have said about me over the years, I should be able to spot dangerously unhinged.

"What's most tragic about this is us. We have, as a culture, embraced the bad guys. I love Tony Soprano. But, when a Tony Soprano shows up in your life, you don't love him so much. We've made everything into a game show and now we're reaping the consequences of it."

Beck recently admitted to toying with the idea of voting for Democrat Hillary Clinton  in Tuesday's presidential election.
