Sen. Mitch McConnell doesn't think President Barack Obama is being straight with the public on healthcare.

"On the Record."

Over the years, Obama repeatedly told Americans they could keep their health insurance if they liked it.
"We knew at the time that was not true. He knew at the time it was not true," McConnell said. "And now his suggestion that we don't have an alternative, he knows, is also not true."
Among Republican ideas, he said, are interstate health insurance, small businesses pooling for cheaper rates, and medical malpractice reform.
"Instead of taking a meat ax to the American healthcare system, we'd have pulled out a scalpel," McConnell said.
