Michelle Obama Hosts $100K Per Couple Soiree

First Lady Michelle Obama attended a fundraiser in North Carolina last week that cost $100,000 per couple.

The fundraising event held at the Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, N.C., benefiting the Democratic National Convention included dinner, a performance by singer James Taylor, and a photo with the First Lady, reports newsobserver.com.

Earlier in the evening, a reception was held with the First Lady and Taylor for a significantly smaller donation of $2,500 for platinum seating, which came with a gift of cuff links or a bracelet with the convention logo.

However, the major meet-and-greet perks were only for those donors who dished out $100,000.
