The meeting was reportedly held to further the Obama re-election campaign’s Young America Effort, which seeks to motivate the younger demographic vote that gave a boost to Obama’s 2008 campaign.
Celebrities involved with the Young America Effort are expected to enlist their fans’ support so that the Hollywood devotees will ultimately cast their votes in the upcoming presidential election for Obama.
Immediately following the morning gathering, the young actors used their Twitter accounts to sing the praises of the president.
“Just spent my morning w/this man talkn green energy,a better America&being a young American-wow,” Somerhalder tweeted.
“Got up bright & early to hear @BarackObama speak w an awesome group,” Alba wrote.
“Maybe the only man I truly get nervous around,” Agron posted. “Worth the early wake up call.”
