Fifty-five percent of Americans have an unfavorable view of the plan that would repeal and replace Obamacare, while 30 percent like it, a Kaiser Health Tracking poll reveals.

Here are the highlights of the survey:

  • 56 percent of Republicans view the plan favorably, while 25 percent do not.
  • 9 percent of Democrats have a favorable view of the Obamacare replacement plan, compared to 85 percent who do not.
  • 51 percent of all those polled have a favorable opinion of the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), compared to 41 percent who do not.
  • 8 percent say repealing and replacing Obamacare should be the most important priority of President Donald Trump and Republican lawmakers; while 22 percent say it should be "very important;" but not a priority; 36 percent say it should be one of many priorities and 33 percent say it should not be a priority.

The poll of 1,208 adults was conducted June 14-19 – before Senate Republicans released the discussion draft of their proposed healthcare bill. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
