Donald Trump will milk every ounce of the publicity he can from his boisterous entry into the 2016 presidential race — then drop out before he has to begin the grind of day-to-day campaigning, Newsmax analyst and National Review columnist John Fund says.
"I still actually believe that Donald Trump isn't going to go the distance on this race," Fund said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"His calculation will be how much can I get out of the publicity stunt before I actually have to campaign. I remain yet to be convinced."
The billionaire developer made a splashy entrance into the already-crowded contest for the GOP presidential nomination president at his glitzy Trump Tower building in Manhattan on Tuesday.
But Fund — author of
"Obama's Enforcer: Eric Holder's Justice Department," written with Hans von Spakovsky and published by Broadside Books — isn't sure Trump can ultimately carry weight with the Republican Party.
"He's running in the Republican primary. Republicans who vote should know three things: Donald Trump was a Democrat until 2009. I don't think he's ever satisfactorily answered why," Fund told Malzberg.
"He wants Oprah Winfrey as his vice president. I like Oprah. Is she really the person you want to have as vice president?
