A retired U.S. Marine sergeant attacked at a pro-Hamas rally in Washington, D.C., tells
Newsmax TV that he was a sitting duck once protesters spotted him carrying American and Israeli flags.
"They came around me, surrounded me, and started yelling and yelling and yelling and started getting hostile real quick,'' Manny Vega, who served three tours of duty in Iraq, said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show.''

"I got pulled on, I got kicked . . . I got yanked on by this guy behind me and I got punched in the back of the head with a fist. I honestly thought it was a bat.''
The assault occurred in front of the White House, where protesters supporting the terrorist group that is fighting Israel in Gaza were gathered on Saturday.
The state of our union is sad because here I'm in America, in the nation's capital, where I should be . . . [able] to express my dissent freely without fear of being hurt or persecuted and I'm getting attacked.
"I would be lying to you if I told you that I wasn't shaking an hour later.''
