PJ Media's Simon: Paris Attack Proves Gitmo Should Stay Open

The terrorist executions at a Paris magazine prove President Barack Obama's plan to close Guantanamo Bay prison for terror suspects is a bad idea, says Roger Simon, co-founder PJ Media, a conservative news and opinion website.

"[People] should keep their doors shut because what happened in Paris tells us more than anything that Obama's policy on Gitmo is crazy," Simon said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"One of the brothers [involved in the Paris slaughter] was in jail and they let him out and now he's gone off and killed 12 people and maimed 12 others.

"It’s crazy. Our leaders are literally putting us all at risk, physically. I've written a lot of satire of Islam … and my back is to my office door at the moment. I don't know what's coming through it. They're not protecting us."

The Wednesday bloodbath occurred at the offices of Charlie Hebdo — a satirical magazine under fire for its cartoons making fun of the Prophet Muhammad — when masked gunmen entered and began shooting.
