President Barack Obama has committed many more illegal acts during his time in office than did President Richard Nixon, who was forced to resign over the Watergate scandal, says Roger Stone, a biographer of Nixon and one of his top advisers.
"What's it the liberals told us about Richard Nixon? That no man is above the law and that he was guilty of extralegal and extra-constitutional activities?" Stone said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV.

"Let's look at this for a moment. One of the articles of impeachment against Nixon was bombing Cambodia without congressional approval. Obama's bombing Iraq today; the Congress hasn't approved that.
"One of the articles of impeachment against Nixon was using the IRS against his political enemies . . . which ironically he never really did, he only talked about. This administration has done so."
Then there's the electronic surveillance, says Stone, a veteran political consultant and editor and publisher of TheStoneZone.com.
"Nixon wiretaps one building in some ridiculous domestic political caper? This administration is wiretapping and bugging and reading the mail of every American," he said.
"On issue after issue after issue, Barack Obama makes Richard Nixon look like a Boy Scout. This administration actually argues that they have the right to kill Americans, American citizens, without a trial or a conviction.
"So, it is ludicrous the way executive power has grown and the constitutional abuses of this administration."
Stone thinks the commander in chief will get tough on the Islamic State terror group when he addresses the nation on Wednesday night.
"He's going to correct his error of earlier this week where he admitted quite candidly that we have no strategy to deal with ISIS, this suddenly resurgent Islamic terrorist group," Stone said.
"So, he's going to try to make up for that. What we're going to hear tonight is phony tough talk. In other words, Joe Biden got out there and said we're going to 'follow these guys to the gates of hell.'
"Now, my guess is you're going to get tough rhetoric from the president. But that's just what it'll be, rhetoric, because this administration never mentions Islamic terrorism, as if it doesn't even exist."
