Stop being wishy washy about Donald Trump — that's the message Bill Kristol sent to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan as he chastised them for remaining strictly lukewarm in their support of the billionaire real-estate tycoon as the GOP presidential nominee.
"If you're not going to get behind them, just say, I don't think I can support him or I don't think I can support him at this point, or I'm staying neutral," Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, said Monday on Newsmax TV's "The Steve Malzberg Show."

"If you're going to support him, support him you know. If you think he's the better candidate, say I'm sorry, I think Donald Trump's the better candidate, he's better qualified than Hillary Clinton.
"These people who are 'endorsing' or 'supporting' [Trump] but they don't want to say too much about it, and they don't want to endorse or support too strongly, look kind of silly."
Kristol's frustration comes as both McConnell and Ryan seem to be tiptoeing around their support of Trump.
Both say they'll vote for Trump, but McConnell won't say if he thinks he's qualified for the job and Ryan isn't talking much about the presumptive nominee other than to criticize controversial statements he makes.
