With his victory in the Indiana primary on Tuesday, Donald Trump has "written a unique chapter in American politics," political strategist Dick Morris told
Newsmax TV.
"This is one of the richest men on Earth and he didn't buy the election," he told host Dennis Michael Lynch on "America Votes: 2016" in an interview. "In fact, he probably spent less also than [Ted] Cruz did and certainly less than [George W.] Bush did.
"He didn't use his money to win. He used his media skills, his media savvy and his understanding of the news cycle and how it worked and his technical understanding of politics."

"It wasn't until the very end when he muffed up on getting the delegates, but he had to bring that conventional consultant in," Morris added. "Otherwise, he basically did it all in an amazing kind of a way.
"From the point of view, of this country, I think that he is appealing to the country in a way that transcends ideology. In a sense, he's saying 'I'll know how to make this work.'
"When you look at him versus Hillary Clinton, there's no question but that he's the competent one."
