President Barack Obama's description of terrorist acts against Jews as random acts of violence is "moral blindness at its worst," says Gary Bauer, president of American Values, a conservative think tank.

"This administration consistently confuses the murdered with the murderers," Bauer, who was a Department of Education official in the Reagan White House, said in an interview aired Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show."

"These are young Palestinian Muslim men who have been incited to violence, who have been educated in schools that continually teach them to hate Jews. They go to mosque where imams tell them the only way they can be absolutely certain they will be with Allah in heaven is if they kill a Jew."

"The music, the films, the culture of the Palestinian areas all promote this kind of violence and for anybody in the White House, anybody speaking for the U.S. government, to call it a cycle of violence … almost beyond words to be able to accurately describe."

Bauer, who ran for the GOP presidential nomination in 2000, is author of "Doing Things Right: Discovering the Glory of America in the Most Unlikely Places," published by Thomas Nelson.
