App Creator: Wal-Mart Among Companies Leaning Heavily Left

By    |   Wednesday, 26 November 2014 12:02 PM EST

An app that lets consumers know which companies donate to liberal and conservative causes found that the vast majority lean to the left, 2nd Vote Executive Director Chris Walker said Wednesday on Newsmax TV's “America’s Forum.”

“About 70 percent of the companies that we scored right now lean liberal, so that goes from Ford to Wal-Mart to Gap and a lot of the shops that we would go on Friday,” Walker said. “That includes issues like education, whether or not they support Common Core. It leads to issues like the Second Amendment, whether they supported groups like Mayor Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

“We do it across a lot of issues so you can see through your smartphone what companies are supporting on the other side. The list is pretty long on the left, but particularly to me, a company like Wal-Mart, who you think their shoppers are relatively conservative, leans far to the left, particularly on donations directed to groups like Center for American Progress, which is the really left wing group headed by the Podestas.”
