Michael Reagan: Lynch Should Recuse Self After Meeting Bill Clinton

By    |   Wednesday, 29 June 2016 09:44 PM EDT

Attorney General Loretta Lynch should recuse herself from any investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton after meeting privately earlier this week with her husband, former President Bill Clinton, political pundit Michael Reagan tells Newsmax TV.

ABC15 in Phoenix reported that the two met aboard a private plane as the two crossed paths at the airport. The meeting, which lasted about half an hour, took place Monday night, just hours before the House Benghazi Committee released its report Tuesday morning that included the actions of Hillary Clinton as secretary of state.

Lynch's Justice Department is also in charge of the investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server for government business during her tenure.

Lynch admitted in a press conference the next day she and her husband had met with Bill Clinton, but said that the meeting was primarily personal and that the two discussed his grandchildren.

"You don't just walk, accidentally, in to a government plane. You have to be invited into a government plane to be able to speak and talk to somebody else in that government plane. So why was he invited in?" Reagan told "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth. "I can't believe the attorney general said, 'Hey, I want to invite ol' Bill Clinton in to talk about grandkids. That's now how it goes down. There's something else was going down."

Reagan is author of "Lessons My Father Taught Me: The Strength, Integrity, and Faith of Ronald Reagan," which is available at Amazon.com and other booksellers.
