The battleground state of Ohio is shaping up strongly for Republicans this election cycle — especially presidential nominee Donald Trump, Rep. Warren Davidson told Newsmax TV on Thursday.
"I'm voting for Trump. I'm excited," the first-term congressman told "America Talks" host J.D. Hayworth. "He offers our party the best path forward.
"I think he's going to be a great guy to work with. I look forward to seeing him serve as our next president."

In June, Davidson, 46, won a special election to replace former House Speaker John Boehner, who resigned last year.
He is up for re-election in November — and a Democratic challenger, Corey Foister, 26, withdrew from the race in July.
Sen. Rob Portman, 60, is also seeking his second term. He is far ahead of his Democratic opponent, former Gov. Ted Strickland, in the polls.
"That race was initially tight," Davidson told Hayworth. "Rob Portman's really continued to build his own brand, explain who he is, and has continued to widen his lead to the point where the Democrats are pulling their funding from Strickland."
However, many Buckeye State Republicans are frustrated that Gov. John Kasich, whom Trump defeated in the primaries, has not endorsed the party's nominee.
"People would really love to see him support our party's nominee," Davidson told Hayworth. "He pledged to do that — and his support would really make a difference."
