Former Colorado GOP lawmaker Tom Tancredo questions Donald Trump's resolve to solve illegal immigration – pointing to his choice to head
a commission looking into the issue as "the mayor of the biggest sanctuary city" in the nation.
In an interview Friday with "Newsmax Prime" host J.D. Hayworth on
Newxmax TV, Tom Tancredo, who represented Colorado's 6th congressional district from 1999 to 2009, said he worries the presumptive GOP presidential nominee's hardline stance is changing.
"I just don't know," he said of Trump's resolve to secure the border.
"I hope it with all of my heart. I want to believe it with my whole heart. He has said some things that make me wonder."

Tancredo pointed to the new committee Trump has described that will study the immigration issue – including the call for a temporary ban on Muslims entering the country.
"He's put [former New York City Mayor] Rudy Giuliani the head of it," Tancredo said. "He was the mayor of the biggest sanctuary city in the country."
