Ronn Torossian to Obama: Flirting With Terrorists Hurts Israel

Monday, 06 January 2014 06:55 PM EST

Israel is the greatest ally of the United States in the Middle East, and the Obama administration must realize that and stop flirting with terror groups to gain peace, says Ronn Torossian, president and CEO of 5W Public Relations.

"[I] hope and pray that America stops pressuring their only ally, their only real democratic ally in the Middle East," Torossian, who wrote a column for Newsmax about the explosive situation, told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"It's a horrible, scary situation," he said Monday.

Torossian said he hopes Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "has the strength to realize and to understand that it's not only in Israel's interest but in America's interest that you can't give in to terrorists and you can't give in to these bad guys."

"These are just people who want to destroy anything [in the] Judeo-Christian civilization."

Torossian also blasted the practice of releasing terrorists as bargaining chips for peace.

"The concept of releasing murderers in order to get peace, it's almost like something out of a horror movie," he said.

"You release people who killed you in the desire of somehow achieving peace. It's just absurd."
