Conservative critics took to Twitter to disparage Fox News for the relatively mild tone Bret Baier and Greta Van Susteren took in their
30-minute interview Tuesday with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
A transcript of the interview shows that Baier and Van Susteren pressed Clinton on topics including the 2012 deadly attack on U.S. facilities in Benghazi, the exchange of five senior Taliban for Bowe Bergdahl, National Security Agency eavesdropping and the Internal Revenue Service scandal.

There were viewers who felt that they did not grill Clinton hard enough,
according to Mediaite.
Disgruntled Fox viewers went on Twitter to protest. Here is a sampling:
Joe @ilikebeerbetter: "@JoeTrippi @megynkelly @HillaryClinton You might ask her about the softball questions handed to Hillary."
Susan @SweetieWalker: "@gretawire I really liked the #HillaryFoxNews interview, when you got tough, and fluffed her pillow, while Bret sang 'Soft Kitty' to her."
Pamela Geller @PamelaGeller: "Very disappointed @BretBaier #HillaryFoxNews unchallenged You let her get away w/murder #figuratively #literally @gretawire was tougher#wow."

Rusty Batchelor @RustyBatchelor: "@gretawire #HillaryFoxNews @BretBaier I think you guys went very very easy on her. I wonder what her feelings are about #Foxnews."
Afterwards, in a
behind-the-scenes segment Van Susteren said there are always regrets after a big interview about there not being enough time or over questions not asked. She said that her goal was to conduct a fair interview.
