Lashing out at Paul Ryan for not completely backing Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma said he won't stand up for the House speaker.
Bridenstine tweeted Wednesday morning:
Two days ago, Ryan announced he would no longer back Trump in the wake of tapes that surfaced where Trump is heard making sexually offensive remarks about women in 2005.
Ryan said he'll rather spend the time to focus on preserving Republican's hold on Congress, according to CNN.
"The speaker is going to spend the next month focused entirely on protecting our congressional majorities," Ryan's spokeswoman, AshLee Strong, said.
Trump on Tuesday slammed the speaker saying he did not want his support.
"This happens all the time — if you sneeze he calls up and announces, isn't that a terrible thing. So look, I don't want his support, I don't care about his support," Trump said on Fox News's "The O'Reilly Factor."
Trump also took to Twitter to snub him:
The billionaire businessman further hinted at Ryan not coming back as speaker, if he becomes president.
