President Donald Trump continued his Twitter feud with the liberal media Saturday morning, taking a swat at NBC after former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren tweeted Thursday she was leaving the network.
"Word is that @Greta Van Susteren was let go by her out of control bosses at @NBC & @Comcast because she refused to go along w/ 'Trump hate!'"
Van Susteren had been with MSNBC for less than six months and Adweek reported her cable news show "For the Record" suffered from poor ratings.
In making the announcement, MSNBC president Phil Griffin said in a statement on Twitter simply that "MSNBC and Greta Van Susteren have decided to part ways," adding, "We are grateful to her and wish her the best."
The reason for her departure remains unclear, as Van Susteren also tweeted Thursday, "Tonight I am just wondering, "so what happened?" :)." As for her future plans, she tweeted Friday she might "take a break and watch from sidelines."
