More than half of American voters believe Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner should not hold significant roles in President Donald Trump's White House.
Results from the Quinnipiac University poll:
- 53 percent said it is not appropriate for first-daughter Ivanka Trump to work in a significant White House role.
- 53 percent said it is not appropriate for Kushner to work in a significant White House role.
Ivanka Trump has an office in the West Wing and works as a special assistant to the president. Kushner is a senior adviser in the administration and also has a West Wing office.
Neither of them are taking a salary, so their positions are voluntary in nature.
The Quinnipiac poll also found Kushner has a favorability rating of just 15 percent, while Ivanka Trump's stands at 36 percent.
