Repeating last month's faux pax, Vice President Joe Biden during a Hillary Clinton campaign rally on Thursday, once again pointed out the military aide who travels with him carrying the nuclear launch codes, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
"He has no idea what the hell he's talking about, and guess what? That's OK sometimes … But I've got a military aide with me carrying a briefcase," Biden said, pointing to his left. "No, I mean this sincerely. That briefcase has the nuclear codes in it and, God forbid, if something happened to the president and a decision had to be made, I open it up and the nuclear codes are there. Just imagine giving this guy access."
Calling Donald Trump "irresponsible," Biden, who was speaking to about 250 people at a United Auto Workers union hall near Youngstown in Ohio's Mahoning Valley, said the Republican nominee shouldn't be given access to the United States' nuclear codes.
"No, no, no, I really mean it!" he said. "Imagine giving this guy access to the nuclear codes. A guy who says how he'd consider using nuclear weapons. A guy who talks about how may other countries should become nuclear powers. I mean, my God."
At a rally last month, Biden boasted about how the nuclear codes were with him and how Trump was "unfit" to be the commander in chief. "I must tell you, had Donald Trump been president, I would have thrown my body in front of him," Biden said. "No I really mean it."
Biden insisted that Trump's presidential campaign was already endangering American soldiers stationed overseas.
"If my son were still in Iraq and I say to all those who were there — the threat to their life has gone up a couple clicks," he said.
Biden, in many instances, has done such a thing. In May 2011, while speaking with reporters, he revealed that the Navy SEALs had killed Osama Bin Laden.
