Texas Republican Rep. Brian Babin said in a recent radio interview that comparisons of Jesus and Mary to Syrian refugees doesn't wash.
During an interview on
"Brietbart Daily News" on Sirius XM's Patriot Channel, host Stephen K. Bannon noted that liberals will bring up the analogy of Jesus and Mary having to flee to Egypt as the Christmas season approaches.
"I would just say this," Babin responded. "Mary and Jesus didn't have suicide bomb vests strapped on them, and these folks do. You can see it in Technicolor in Paris."
Babin has been pushing to stop the influx of Syrian refugees since summer, arguing that the Islamic State (ISIS) has said it intends to embed its terrorists with the refugees. One of the Paris attackers entered Europe as a Syrian refugee.
