Federal workers are pulling for Hillary Clinton.
According to The Hill, 95 percent of federal employees who donated money to presidential campaigns spent it on the Clinton campaign through the end of September.
"Employees at all the agencies analyzed, without exception, are sending their campaign contributions overwhelmingly to Clinton over her Republican counterpart," wrote Jonathan Swan of The Hill. "Several agencies, such as the State Department, which Clinton once led, saw more than 99 percent of contributions going to Clinton."
The media organization analyzed data from figures released by the Federal Election Commission and only included donations over $200.
The numbers are not a big surprise for several reasons. Republican nominee Donald Trump has said in previous interviews, if elected, he might eliminate the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency. Trump would also ask Congress to pass legislation to make it easier to fire federal workers if he takes the White House, according to Reuters.
According to The Hill, government workers have historically favored Democrats in contributions and voting.
"Government employees are, on balance, more moderate or more liberal as opposed to the general population," David Schultz, a Hamline University Professor of Political Science, told The Hill. "Not across the board, but in general."
