John Kasich is set to unveil an ambitious new national security plan his campaign says will "help make America safer and defeat ISIS" as the Ohio governor launches a new bid to kick start his stalled presidential bid.

The new get-tough policy comes less than a week after the deadly Paris terror attacks by the Islamic State.

The Kasich campaign is launching a brand new television ad in several of the early primary states.

The ad will emphasize the Buckeye State leader's broad experience in leadership including his eighteen years of experience on the U.S. House Defense Committee.

In the ad — a compilation of speeches and TV appearances — Kasich says:

"What we saw last night [in Paris], what we observed on 9/11, really represent an attack on Western Civilization."

"We have to let people know that savages like this are not something we can tolerate. We work with the French, we put a coalition together to attack and destroy ISIS."

And in a shot at political novices Donald Trump and Dr. Ben Carson, as well as President Barack Obama, Kasich adds:

"On the job training for president of the United States, doesn't work. We've done it for eight years, it does not work."

While Kasich's national poll numbers have been low, he is leading both former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in New Hampshire. But he still has a lot of catching up to do to compete with front-runners Trump, Carson, and Marco Rubio, who are polling higher in New Hampshire.
