House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi convened a news conference Thursday morning to mark the one-year anniversary of the healthcare reform law. But other top Democrats declined to attend,
Politico reports.

During the legislative process on Obamacare, Pelosi brought a Democratic “A” team to major press conferences, including the rest of the House Democratic leadership, veteran Rep. John Dingell of Michigan and Henry Waxman of California, who pushed Obamacare through the Energy and Commerce Committee.
On Thursday, all these folks were absent, including Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and assistant Democrat leader Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, the third-ranking Democrat in the House.
Perhaps they now view the healthcare law as a political liability, given the lack of public support for it.
