GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump leads Texas Sen. Ted Cruz by 34 points in California, according to a new poll conducted for KABC-TV.

The poll has Trump ahead 54 percent to 20 percent in California, where voters will cast ballots on June 7.

The poll was conducted by SurveyUSA, which one month ago found Trump ahead only eight points. In that poll, Trump led 40 percent-32 percent.

On the Democratic side, front-runner Hillary Clinton leads Sen. Bernie Sanders 57 percent-38 percent.

In theoretical general election matchups, Clinton leads Trump 56 percent-34 percent and Cruz 57 percent-29 percent.

The poll talked to 2,011 registered voters in California from April 27-30. No margin of error was reported.
