President Donald Trump joked about firing Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price during a Monday evening speech in front of the Boy Scouts.
Trump addressed the crowd at the Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree and mentioned healthcare.
"By the way, are you gonna get the votes?" said Trump, looking at Price behind him. "He better get them. He better get them. Otherwise I'll say, 'Tom, you're fired!'"
Politico posted a clip of Trump's remark.
With the Senate GOP's healthcare bill stalled over a lack of support, the chamber is slated to hold a vote Tuesday on whether to openly debate the House's healthcare bill.
"You better get Sen. [Shelley Moore] Capito to vote for it," said Trump, referencing the West Virginia Republican. "You gotta get the other senators to vote for it. It's time. You know, after seven years of saying repeal and replace Obamacare, we have a chance to now do it. They better do it. Hopefully they'll do it."
The National Jamboree is taking place at the Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve in West Virginia.
