Trump Slams NY Times: 'Totally Inept'

President Donald Trump started his week with a Monday morning Twitter attack on the media, branding the "failing" New York Times as "totally inept" and slamming "Fake News" over polls and the Russia investigation.

The failing @nytimes, which has made every wrong prediction about me including my big election win (apologized), is totally inept!

His attack on the Times does not mention the newspaper's Sunday report claiming that Vice President Mike Pence is quietly working on a possible 2020 White House run. Pence slammed the report, calling it "disgraceful and offensive" and "categorically false."

Despite "24/7 #Fake News" reports, Trump said, "the Trump base is getting stronger."

Trump's latest media attack comes just nine hours after he used his Twitter account to  slam "The Fake News" for failing to report his accomplishments.
