Public Policy Polling release showed that in the swing state of Ohio, Donald Trump would garner 15 percent of the African-American vote vs. Hillary Clinton.
According to Van Jones, former aide to President Barack Obama and CNN contributor, that puts Trump in the White House.
"If only 70 percent don't like Donald Trump, that means 30 percent are open to his argument; if he gets half of those, he's president," Jones said in a video posted on his
Facebook page. "In order for the Democrats to win the White House, they … need 90 to 92 percent of the black vote."
By comparison, Mitt Romney secured 4 percent of the black vote in Ohio in the 2012 presidential election.

Washington Times reports: a poor jobs outlook, illegal immigration and trade deals that have dealt a blow to American workers. Black unemployment remains the highest of any demographic at 9 percent, and black wages have decreased in President Obama's tenure, writes the Times.
Further, Jones says in his video that Trump has mastered today's media — social media, reality TV — much the same way FDR mastered radio and JFK mastered TV. Trump knows how and where to reach voters.
"New medium, new master, new president," Jones said.
