Ben Affleck apologized Wednesday for groping actress Hilarie Burton in 2003 as she hosted the MTV show “TRL,” a day after slamming Harvey Weinstein for his alleged sexual misconduct with multiple women over several decades.

After posting on Facebook Tuesday that he was “saddened and angry” about Weinstein’s “sick” behavior, fans began to call Affleck out for his own misconduct.

“Ben Affleck should’ve just kept quiet,” @naimaism wrote on Twitter.

@ShaniceBrim chimed in, “He also grabbed Hilarie Burton’s breasts on TRL once. Everyone forgot though.”

Then Burton chimed in on the conversation, saying, “I didn’t forget.”

She later tweeted, “Girls. I’m so impressed with you brave ones. I had to laugh back then so I wouldn’t cry. Sending love.”

Affleck tweeted an apology to Burton on Wednesday.

Actor-director Rose McGowan also took issue with Affleck, saying he lied about not knowing of Weinstein’s behavior toward women, even though Affleck never explicitly said he didn’t know about it.

McGowan said she told Affleck about Weinstein’s advances toward her and that Affleck responded to her by saying, “God****it! I told him to stop doing that,” The New York Times reported.

Affleck worked with Weinstein on a number of films, including Oscar-winner “Good Will Hunting.”
