A group aiming to shine light on the "four heroes of the Benghazi attack" has launched a campaign to raise funds for its project.
“The Foundation to Illuminate America’s Heroes mission is to find and illuminate true American heroes and to utilize appropriate media — Internet, social media, radio and television, documentaries and feature film, magazines, and books — to illumine these hero stories to inspire present and future generations,” said David C. Jamison, Foundation’s executive director. “The story of the four heroes of the Benghazi terrorist attack fits well into the mission of the Foundation. It is a story that must be told.”
According to a press release, the foundation plans to honor the four heroes of the Benghazi attack: Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, Ambassador Libya J. Christopher Stevens, and consulate information management officer Sean Smith.
The foundation says it is seeking donors to participate in telling "the inspiring story of these four American heroes."
One of the members of the foundation’s international advisory board is Washington media consultant and strategist, Rick Reed. The foundation says Reed will be personally involved in developing the appropriate media to tell the story of the American heroes of Benghazi.
